Multi-Family Tax Exemption Program – Amend Area

Notice is hereby given that the Othello City Council will hold a public hearing to discuss adding an area to the Multi-Family Tax Exemption Program. This program incentivizes multi-family development by allowing a 12-year property tax exemption for multi-family units developed within target areas. The current proposal is to add 18 acres north of Sand Hill Estates 4 & 5 (Cascade St), between 7^th & 14^th Ave, Parcel 1529030682660 & 61.  This area was recently rezoned R-4 Residential. The hearing will be held at the City Council meeting, Monday, Nov. 27, 2023 at 6:00 PM, at Othello City Hall, 500 E. Main St. The hearing will also be accessible by internet and phone. All Council meetings are open to the public. Arrangements to reasonably accommodate special needs, including accessibility or an interpreter, will be made upon receiving 24-hour advance notice.
