Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Chief of Police at Othello Police Department, 500 E. Main St., Othello Washington 99344 until 3:00 P.M., November 30, 2020 for the Othello Police Department Firearms Procurement. Bid proposals will be received only at the office of the City Clerk. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. Bids will be opened at Othello City Hall at 4:00 PM, November 30, 2020.

This bid provides for the procurement of eighteen (18) AR-15 Patrol Rifles with optics and silencers.

Bid requirements and specifications are on file at the Othello Police Department, 500 E. Main St. Othello WA, 99344, where they may be examined. Requests for bid specifications can be made by contacting the Othello Police Department at (509) 488-3314 or are available online at the City of Othello website at the following link:

No bid will be received unless it is made on the Bid Form furnished by the City. The bid submitted shall be addressed to the Chief of Police, Othello Police Department, 500 E. Main St., Othello WA, 99344 and shall be clearly marked as follows:

Equipment Bid: Police Department Firearms

All bids are to be compared on the basis of meeting all necessary specifications. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date of opening the bids. The City of Othello reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities or minor irregularities in the bidding, and determine which bid or bidder meets the criteria set forth in the bid documents.

All bids shall be in accordance with the solicitation for bids, details and specifications that comprise the full requirements for the submission of bids.

The City of Othello, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
